Tuesday October 26, 2004:
A pair of ANNA'S HUMMINGBIRDS are coming to feeders in the 3100 block of Smugglers Hill Drive.
A RUFOUS HUMMINGBIRD has been coming to feeders along Georgiaview Crescent


Monday October 25:
ANNA'S HUMMINGBIRDS are coming to feeders in the Whalebone area of Gabriola Island.
A RUFOUS HUMMINGBIRD was seen in the 200 block of Chamber Place in Nanaimo.

Sunday October 24:
The Sunday bird walk, went to Buttertubs Marsh in Nanaimo. Twenty-two Sunday birders
found the following thirty-eight species --

Friday October 22:
An ANNA'S HUMMINGBIRD was seen in the 5600 block of Amsterdam Crescent, as well as along Tryon Way and in the 2800 block of Neyland Road in Nanaimo.
A SHARP-SHINNED HAWK was seen being mobbed by STELLAR'S JAYS on Gabriola Island.

Thursday October 21:
Two LESSER SCAUP and two BUFFLEHEAD were seen on Holden Lake in Hemer Provincial Park in Cedar

Wednesday October 20:
Fourteen WOOD DUCKS were seen on Buttertubs Marsh in Nanaimo.
Two RED CROSSBILLS were seen at feeders along Brodys Place in north Nanaimo.

Tuesday October 19:
A PEREGRINE FALCON was spotted perched in a tall snag on the east side of the Nanaimo Golf Course.

Monday October 18:
Two YELLOW WARBLERS were sighted feeding in birch trees in the 2500 block of Glenayr Drive in Nanaimo.

Sunday October 17:
An AMERICAN GOLDFINCH was seen at feeders in Lantzville.
