one of the nice things about working around the microsoft campus a few years
ago was that we'd often see deer and other large animalia... even though
deer are rarely seen anymore, other creatures are pretty frequent visitors
or year-round residents...

among the menagerie of the last few days, i've seen several red tail hawks,
a possible sharp-shinned, some trained american crows (really!), and today,
seven or eight (male and female) california quail as they skittered across a
car park between buildings 22 and 40/41...
