Hi all-
Just a couple quick notes from today's birding out at the coast.
Morning, Ocean Shores:
2 Snow Buntings at Damon Pt. SP. They were located in the marshy area
to the right of the closed road out to the point. Roughly speaking,
if you walked the road until the asphalt begins and turned right at
the log along side the road. Though they kept low and rarely moved
while I watched them for ~30 minutes, they stood out pretty well with
their bright colors.

2 Palm Warblers, presumably the same pair found by the Sullivans on
Oct 24, were present near the Interpretive Center and the Scots Broom
across the street from the center [by the bus stop].

Otherwise, shorebird numbers were pretty minimal while I was there -
a few Sanderling, Dunlin & 1 BB Plover. Out in the water, several
Common Loon, WW & Surf Scoters were the main treats.

In the afternoon, I headed over to Tokeland. En route, I stopped at
Bottle Beach at ~12:30 and found the tide already all the way in.
Missed all the shorebirds except one Sanderling. Likewise, I was too
late for most of the gulls at North Cove - Maybe 100 Californias & a
few Heerman's remained, but I couldn't pull the Black-tailed Gull out
of the remaining pack. I swear the tide tables on-line said
high-tide was at 2:00pm...

At Tokeland, the Bar-tailed Godwit was right where it has been of
late, in amongst the piles of Marbled Godwits on the marina docks.

Especially given the surprising lack of rain all day, it was a good
day to be out at the coast -
