Dear Dennis and Tweeters,

It would be a nail-biter if one were asked to locate a
Hutton's Vireo for a visiting birder; they seem to
turn up one time, then disappear the next visit.

April and May have been my best months for finding
them. When I lived in Concrete, they used to sing from
the Douglas firs behind the elementary school in the
spring.

Then there seems to be a period in mid-summer when I
find a few, although June for some reason has not been
an easy time to find them. I have very few records
from September and October.

December has been fairly good, but that is probably
due to CBC effort.

I have never seen one in Washington during November or
January.
