Greetings
Steve Mlodinow, Dennis Duffy and I birded from Ridgefield NWR to Woodland
today (30 October 2004). Best birds were two male Tricolored Blackbirds
spotted in a large flock along Lower River Road near Vancouver Lake. Also 4
Snow Geese in the area among thousands of Cackling Geese. Earlier in the
morning we had two Swamp Sparrows at Ridgefield on the auto tour route.
During the rest of the day we had a small number of White-throated Sparrows,
and two Northern Shrikes. And that's about it.
Cheers and good birding
