Hello,

If there is anyone doing studies of migrating shorebirds, I would like to report seeing in the neighborhood of 300-400 RED-NECKED PHALAROPES near Agate Pass, north of Bainbridge Island, on August 30. They were seen from a boat. The birds appeared to be feeding along a seaweed "line". We saw birds for a couple of miles and so are certain we were not just seeing "repeats". For the most part, they did not fly off.

Perhaps this is not unusual; first time for me.

I am certain of the identification.
