Tweets - Six of us got very wet during the first couple of hours at
Marymoor, but then the rain stopped. Birding was pretty slow all day, how
ever. We worked very hard and managed to find most of the things that
should be there. There were a few surprizes too:

Green Heron 2-3, incl. a GREAT look from lake platform
Sharpie 1 immature near Pea Patch
Cooper's Hawk 1 immature, interested in pigeons, killdeer
Killdeer More than 80 on grass soccer fields
Anna's Hummingbird At feeder in Pea Patch
Pacific-slope Flychr 1 on east leg of trail
Warbling Vireo 1 on SW edge of dog meadow
Barn Swallow LOTS
Bushtit 1st in weeks, 2 large groups
Ruby-crowned Kinglet Near WAVI - earliest fall record ever
Swainson's Thrush Lots, and many really great sightings
Orange-crowned Wblr Only 1, near WAVI
Wilson's Warbler One male west of East Meadow
Western Tanager One across from 3rd dog swim area
Black-headed Grosbeak Only 2 at most
Purple Finch Five or more in Ash trees

For the day, just 51 species. For the week, including my visits last
Thursday (previously posted) plus a COMMON MERGANSER seen by Ryan Merrill
also last Thursday, 59 species.

The terns (Black and Common) were not seen today.
