Yes it is the season for owls. Sept-early Nov. presents a great opportunity to get out and see some of these outstanding birds. There is now a new owl book out there that is wonderfully created and a great reference on this family of fascinating predators. This book has an accompanying audio CD of all the calls of North Americas Owls. The book is entitled "North American Owls: Journey through a Shadowed World" By Jim Burns, photographer extraordinare. So be sure to get out and look for owls this fall and also check out Jim Burn's well done book.
