On our return trip from the Bassett Park (Washtucna) Field Trip where we
were able to find the BLACK-AND-WHITE WARBLER, three of us cut through the
Columbia National WR to stop at Lind Coulee in an effort to relocate the
Whimbrel and the Franklin's Gull. Both birds are still present and we were
able to observe them reasonably well, though they were somewhat distant.
We were also able to locate a single STILT SANDPIPER in the upper part of
the coulee. The Stilt sandpiper is associating with a group of Lesser and
Greater yellowlegs.
