Yesterday my first Golden-crowned Sparrow of the season was moving about the
yard. Later, an "Audubon's" Yellow-rumped Warbler flew over, but in general
it was a relatively slow day with just one tanager and one grosbeak.
Today was completely different, however. I woke up to moderate southerly
winds, and a Hammond's Flycatcher just outside. Around a dozen migrants were
around in the morning, but they gradually took off until 9AM when no
migrants were around. It remained dead until 12:30PM with increasing winds,
when a true migratory spectacle took place. It isn't often you can see 15
Western Tanagers in the same binocular field.

Here are the results from throughout the day. Keep in mind all these birds
were noted moving past a single location (my yard).
