Hello All,

After all these many years of birding Washtucna in Adams Co. it finely payed off! While on our way up to Potholes on 5 Sept. we spent the better part of the afternoon birding Basset Park in beautiful Washtucna. The first great species of our visit was an adult female Black & White Warbler ( first located on 4 Sept. by Bob Flores and Moses Lake Audubon members) a first for us in Adams Co. followed shortly by a very vocal and bright Am. Redstart. So 35 Wilsons Warblers and 4 Red-breasted Nuthatches later we discovered a second duller Am. Redstart and an adult Tennesse Warbler.

This afternoon back at Basset Park (6 Sept.) along with Bob Flores and Steve Mlodinow we again relocated the Black & White Warbler, the Tennesse Warbler and several Least Flycatchers. Also present was a Red-eyed Veiro and a Swainsons Thrush. Missing were the two Am. Redstarts.

Everywhere we birded the last two days we found Red-breasted Nuthatches. 4 at Potholes S.P., 1 FLYING OVER POTHOLES RES., 4 at Washtucna, 3 at Wind Dust Park, 1 in Kahlotus. We saw much more today while birding the Potholes. More later.
Later Mike
