12:08pm start - water level high and rising; only spotty bits of mudflat show (high tide at 2:08pm)
12:39pm end

Tweeters,
Breeze from the north, mild, and lots of salmon jumping at Turning Basin #3 (TB3). Three boats with rod-and-reel anglers entered TB3, and two continued upriver. I initially counted 9 COMMON MERGANSERS, but the boats spooked up a few more: a total of 12 mergansers flew downstream through TB3. Lots of MALLARDS (35 of the 40 seen) along the south shore; one GREEN-WINGED TEAL was still here, too.

Birds seen during this scan include the following:
Gadwall
Mallard (40)
Green-winged Teal
Common Merganser (12)
Great Blue Heron (2)
Osprey (1 at the Hamm Creek nest site)
Red-tailed Hawk
Glaucous-winged Gull (8)
Rock Pigeon (11)
Steller's Jay
Song Sparrow

May all your birds be identified,
