On September 1, Nancy LaFramboise located a BLACK-THROATED GRAY WARBLER at
the causeway to Bateman Island.

Laurie Ness found a PACIFIC-SLOPE FLYCATCHER along French Road in Keene
Village in Richland on September 2.

Although a bit distant, reports of migrants at Basset Park in Washtucna
included sightings of a BLACK-AND WHITE WARBLER and AMERICAN REDSTARTS by
Bob Flores on September 4 and those plus a TENNESSEE WARBLER and more by
Mike and MerryLynn Denny.

Bob Woodley found a good variety of birds at the Yakima Delta on September
5. There were shorebirds including many yellowlegs, 5 LONG-BILLED
DOWITCHERS, 6 RED-NECKED PHALAROPES, 1 BAIRD'S SANDPIPER, and WESTERN and
LEAST SANDPIPERS. Also of interest were 1 VAUX'S SWIFT, 1 AMERICAN PIPIT
and a PEREGRINE FALCON.

Ron and Carole Louderback found a MARBLED GODWIT, 4 RED-NECKED PHALAROPES
and 2 PECTORAL SANDPIPERS at the Yakima Delta on September 6.

The delta changes every day at this time of year, on September 7, Bob
Woodley and Nancy LaFramboise observed an AMERICAN GOLDEN-PLOVER and 12
PECTORAL SANDPIPERS there as well as 3 COMMON TERNS.

Scott Dietert observed a WHITE-BREASTED NUTHATCH at Snyder and Camas
Streets in Richland on September 7. This is the 6th local record of this
species.

A VAUX'S SWIFT was seen over Bateman Island on September 8, by Nancy
LaFramboise, Jack and Murrel Dawson, and Katie Harris.
