My son lives in Eatonville and has a problem with a pair of what he believes is woodpeckers. They have been perching on top of his new mobile home and hammering away early in the AM. He has gone out to chase them off and they fly into the fir trees around his home. The pair are a bright blue with black heads, about ten inches in length he told me. I have not been able to find any such bird in Petersons or any other books I have. When they get into the fir trees they act like woodpeckers, pecking away happily and moving like woodpeckers throughout the b
ark of the trees. Any ideas?
