Hello All,
This evening Steve Mlodinow called to report a Red Knot and a Sanderling behind the Tyson/ Iowa Beef slaughter plant in western Walla Walla Co., at the middle pond. Take Dodd RD. EAST off HWY 12 until you come to the old rail road bed off to the south . Turn off onto this old rail bed and go south until you reach the ponds. Please DO NOT TRESSPASS into the ponds. Rather use a spotting scope.
Thank-you Steve! It is great to have a visiting birder call in rare sightings to the local folks! Wish more would do so!
