Greetings Tweeters,

With the return of the rains, the wetlands at the Hundred Acre Woods (NE Lakewood) are beginning to refill. The Ducks wasted no time in returning, and this morning the MALLARDS and WIGEONS brought a NORTHERN SHOVELER with them. The Shoveler represents species number 63 since I started keeping track in mid June.

Two days ago we were treated to a host? bunch? flock? of immature CEDAR WAXWINGS. There were somewhere between 30 and 40, so it appears that it was a good breeding year for them at "the Woods".

The adult pair of RT HAWKS have moved on and left the area to Junior. He appears to be taking up residence here.
