Hello All,
We at last saw this spectacular flycatcher after Ted Kennifik hiked out and located the bird along a perimeter fence at the eastern edge of the airstrip. This was at 1345hrs. Very nice Washington State bird. We then headed for home and on the way birded Hood Park and the Walla Walla River delta.
At Hood Park we located 9 Orange Crowned Warblers and 15 Yellow-rumps, 10+ Wc Sparrows, 5 Wood Ducks.
Out on the Walla Walla River delta we located an adult Peregrine Falcon, 1 Common Night Hawk, 7 Common Terns and small numbers of common shorebirds. Thats it.
