One of the best references around is The Birds of North America, No.
410, 1999, Pied-billed Grebe by Martin J. Muller (Seattle's own Martin
Muller) and Robert W. Storer. This is a wonderful survey of the
Pied-billed Grebe and contains lots of good behavior information. The
reference list is almost 4 pages long - giving you lots more to read if
you are really interested.
