Thanks everyone for the responses regarding where to
get behavior info for Pied-billed Grebes. I sure have
a mental block when it comes to some words and
spelling them. It took me forever to spell neuter
correctly when I worked in veterinary hospitals.

I enjoyed watching some PB Grebes as I call them last
night at Boeing Ponds. They were fascinating to
watch. I don't what it means what they were doing but
one would swim underwater and when it surfaced would
only expose it's head or just the top of it's head.
Then it would sink back down underwater and swim
closer to it's buddy and resurface again only showing
the top of the head. This went on for quite awhile
with some full upper body exposure at times. The one
would only go under via feather compression, whereas
the other one would slip under head first resembling a
dive.
