Hello Tweets,

This evening at 5pm my mother and I encountered a small influx of migrant passerines in our yard during a rain shower. The main highlight was a fall plumaged female Nashville Warbler that was associating with a loose flock of up to 7 Yellow Warblers,as well as by itself in our front yard. This was our third record of Nashville Warbler for our yard, being our first fall record. Of additional interest up to 9 Black Swifts were noted flying from north to south over our yard, which was a much anticipated new yard species. A single Vaux's Swift and a Violet-green Swallow were briefly noted flying over our yard this morning,as they continued in an unknown direction. Other noteworthy sightings observed from our yard this evening included the following:

4 Band-tailed Pigeons
4 Anna's Hummingbirds
1 Downy Woodpecker
1 Brown Creeper
1 Orange-crowned Warbler

Good birding,
