Subject: Cranes in Lewis Co.; Turkeys in Wahkiakum Co.

While working yesterday, Monday, I noticed 5 Sandhill Cranes flying south towards Ryderwood. This was about 2 miles north of Ryderwood where the road to Boisfort Valley heads north. They appeared to perhaps be landing in the field near the base of a hill just south of this spot.

And then today 3/4 of a mile east from the Pacific/Wahkiakum County line in Wahkiakum County were 7 Wild Turkeys around 11 am and again at 4 pm. feeding along the edge of the hwy. This is west of Rosburg. I believe this is a 'County First' for Wahkiakum County.
