Just a quick note to say that I spent about 35 minutes at Luhr Beach (high
tide) this morning around 9:00 and saw:
1 BROWN PELICAN (same bird as this week)
1 Greater Scaup
5 MARBLED GODWIT (still around)

Just as I was leaving Keith Brady turned up and noticed that some birds were
going by over head. The first bird I put my binocs on was a BLACK SWIFT
(another of our nemesis birds). At least 3 birds were present in a flock of
Vaux's Swifts and Violet-Green Swallows. They flew from east to west
overhead following the shore and never returned. I headed off to work in a
much better mood.
