Tweeters,
Has anyone seen the flycatcher in M.L. today? We're thinking of trying for
it tomorrow. Anyone else planning to look for it as well? It's amazing
that we are seeing more and more uncommon or even first-ever sightings for
Washington this season. Could this be a result of environmental toxins
affecting the mental abilities of the birds and confusing them?
As for swans in the Blaine, WA area, I have often seen flocks of swans not
far away from there (several miles south of Chiliwack) in the fields along
Highway 1 in lower BC. When I have seen them, it has been in open fields,
not on water. Since they are there only seasonally, I presume it is just
passing through to parts north.
