Hi Tweeters,

The Scissor-tailed Flycatcher was seen this afternoon at about 3:30 near
the entrance to Moses Lake Industries and then at about 4:15 on the east
side of Randolph Road just south of the entrance to Moses Lake
Industries. MLI is about 200 yards north of the intersection of Randolph
and Tyndall Road.

I saw it with Jeff Coen (sp?) and Kraig and Kathy Kemper. When we first
saw it, it was perched on the power line. It soon flew to bushes on the
west side of the large dirt pile on the east side of Randolph Road, then to
the fence line running along the north side of the dirt pile. We were able
to approach fairly close, then, when we were all looking at our scopes or
cameras, it suddenly disappeared.

I got good photos, some of which will be in the new photos folder of my
website soon. There is nearly always a complication, though. I broke the
LCD screen on my camera two weeks ago (it got caught between my truck door
and the handle of the seat), so I can't see what I am shooting. I didn't
get the camera zoomed out, so the photos are only magnified by the
scope. The camera is going in for repair Monday morning.
