Went to McCain's this morning and despite good conditions in the west pond there were few shorebirds. Estimates are about 80 long-billed dowitchers, 4 semi-palmated plovers, 14 western and 10 least sandpipers, 2 pectoral sandpipers, 4 red-necked phalaropes and 4 greater yellowlegs. Also 70 American white pelicans and 1 Wilson's snipe.
