When I got home this evening from work, my wife had told me that Carol Boyer had called and said there were Sandhill Cranes in the Brady Loop area today. I called Carol to get the location and headed out with my daughter. We arrived at Brady Loop at about 7:15pm and located two separate groups of Sandhill Cranes that were flying around the area. One small group of 5 cranes were flying around the area between the westside of Brady Loop Rd. and Foster Rd.. The other larger group of about 35 cranes were flying westward down the Chehalis river. It was getting dark fast so we didn't have much time. The small group of 5 cranes appeared to land somewhere along the fields near the intersection of Foster Rd. and Brady Loop Rd. Perhaps they may linger until tomorrow so if you are traveling to the coast be sure to check out Brady Loop. I have been waiting to finally see a Sandhill Crane and today was the day thanks to Carol's phone call!
