For the past few weeks I have been hosting up to 16 Band-tailed pigeons at
my feeder. I also found the hatched out shell on my lawn, likely from one
of their near by nests. The young birds have been coming in.
Also, woodpeckers, including young of pileated, downy, and hairy.
Northern flickers abound as wells as evening grosbeaks. Black headed were
here earlier.
I am feeding black sunflower and a suet station. The thistle goes unused.
Is there something I can do to encourage the use of thistle?
