Subject: Moses Lake Scissor-tailed on Sunday
Date: Sep 19 16:39:58 2004
From: Meredith and/or Dave Spencer - merdave at vib.tv
We found the bird this morning at 8:50 a.m. It was first seen on the
power line, but flew down in the rabbit ? brush to catch insects. Then it
flew across the street and worked those plants. It seems to sit below the
tops of the plants, not on the top .So it is not conspicuous. We observed
it until 9:10 a.m. when it flew north, over the blue buildings, and towards
the bunkers. We tried to relocate it, but were not successful. This was
our 3rd try, and as it was a lifer for Rick (Hendrick), I'm glad we found
it. Beautiful bird! Meredith P.S. What was the date it was first seen?
