yesterday I thought I heard a Varied Thrush in the yard. Only called
once though, so I wasn't sure. Today, I got confirmation that Varied
Thrush have indeed arrived, when one crashed into the living room
window. This particular window has become something of a thrush
magnet recently; two Swainson's Thrushes and now this one have all
tried to fly through it in the past six weeks or so. All survived,
but I have to get one of those hawk stickers. This is not the kind of
birdwatching I enjoy.
