I was at Monroe's middle school this evening. The swifts really got started around 6:45 and were all "in bed" by 7:20.

There were about 10 adults and as many children watching. It was also, coincidentally, the middle school's open house so we were able to gently educate several teachers and parents that these birds were not (nasty, non-native) starlings but rather very valuable swifts which eat lots of bugs!

Very inspirational for all there, even a 3-year old was thrilled.
