Not quite central Puget Sound, but for Skagit County Willets are almost
undocumented, I have only one entry with details, from long ago. Rumor has
it that there are 1-2 other old county reports out there. I don't believe
San Juan County has more than a Cattle Point spring report years back, and
even in Clallam the species is real scarce--I recall a bird that stayed for
several years out at Ediz Hook, and around that time we had a bird show at
Travis Spit for the Sequim CBC (perhaps the same bird), our only record.

In the fading light last night, I distinctly heard a PACIFIC-SLOPE
FLYCATCHER from high in the hemlocks at our place in Lake Stevens. Sept 21
is not really late yet, but getting toward the end of the season (my latest
for Puget trough is Sept 27 at Discovery, and Oct 1 at the coast).
