Tweeters,

I promised my wife a mystery birding adventure if she could get home
from
work before 5 today. We made it up to Frank Wagner Middle School in
Monroe
at 6:10 and saw six or so of the swifts over the school. We left to get
a
take out dinner at Taco Bell and returned at 6:40. The Merlin was
making
some passes over the chimney before many of the swifts showed up.

About 7:15 it looked like a thousand black specks swirling in a huge
basin,
then the plug was pulled and all but 50 of the birds went down the
drain.
It took another 5 minutes for all but three of those to fit in.

You can walk around to the back (NE) of the school and eat your tacos on

the little blue tables you will find there.

It's a great show. Four thumbs up.
