There is a song by Jerry Jeff Walker which invariably comes
to mind while I am pishing....

Several years ago, I put together information on pishing in a
webpage still available at:
http://home.pacifier.com/~mpatters/bird/pishing/pishing.html

I generally have pretty good success with a mix of pishing and
pygmy owl tooting. Some days work better than others. It usually
works best when a few chickadees or fox sparrows help out.

Kissy noises make a very dependable Barn Owl call.
