Hi All:

Diann posted a timely reminder a couple of days ago that Turkey Vultures are
at the height of their migration.
Yesterday afternoon, at 2:50, I noticed a big kettle of Turkey Vultures NNW
of Ballard (I live in east Ballard, downhill from the zoo). They appeared to
be trying to gain additional elevation north of Phinney Ridge. Then they
headed south over Phinney Ridge. Every way that I counted them came up with
roughly 75 birds. Their flight path would have taken them over Queen Anne
and then over downtown. This is the biggest kettle I've seen in the city.
