Subject: [Tweeters] Sabine's Gull at Wanapum Lake

I slowly birded my way home on Tuesday, 9/28/04 after a
successful all day Scissor-tailed Flycatcher vigil on Monday at Moses
Lake. The best bird that I found was a juvenile SABINE'S GULL in the
Columbia River off of the end of the Frenchman's Coulee Road. When last
seen the bird was flying downstream towards the Vantage Bridge. A check
from Wanapum State Park to below the dam failed to relocate the bird.
The trees at the State Park were full of YELLOW-RUMPED WARBLERS,
RUBY-CROWNED KINGLETS, and GOLDEN-CROWNED KINGLETS, along with a few
RED-BREASTED NUTHATCHES and at least two BROWN CREEPERS.
