I'm guessing that it was a red tailed hawk. Seemed a lot bigger than any
that I've seen before. It certainly could have been an immature Eagle but
was more of a golden color than dark brown and I didn't see the spotting
that the eagle would have had. After looking in the books again I'm going
with a large red tailed. Thanks for all your help.
