Tweeters,
Blustery south breeze, scattered clouds mostly covered the sky, and a
rain squall just moved through Turning Basin #3. The OSPREY I reported
in a one-liner yesterday was most likely the one that was on the Hamm
Creek nest platform when I went outside. Still only one bird here.
(Contrasts with the over 400 starlings that were also at Hamm Creek.)
Birds seen during this scan include the following:
Canada Goose (9)
Gadwall (6)
Mallard (5)
Bufflehead (2)
Common Merganser (5)
Great Blue Heron
Osprey
Red-tailed Hawk
Mew Gull (7)
Glaucous-winged Gull (15)
Rock Pigeon (12)
Belted Kingfisher (2)
American Crow (11)
Black-capped Chickadee (2)
Bewick's Wren (2)
European Starling (400+)
Song Sparrow (2)
Red-winged Blackbird
House Sparrow
May all your birds be identified,
Denis DeSilvis
