There is a great example of a Bushtit nest about 30 feet out in the Cattails
off the Yuppie Pawn boardwalk area at Totem Lake. An eerie sight - watching
this gourd-shaped spider web framed oddity poke in and out as the Bushtit
couple travels up and down the inside of the nest. I have to go to Illinois this
week (Golden Plovers, I hope) so I can't take a photo. If anyone gets a photo
of the nest, I would love to put it up on the site.
