11:50 start - water level high, with all but shoreline edges of mudflats
covered (8:50 low tide - 6.6ft; 13:17 high tide - 8.9ft)
12:23 end

Tweeters,
Scattered clouds, scattered raindrops, and cool north breeze at Turning
Basin #3. A second OSPREY is now at the Hamm Creek (HC) site (spotted it
this morning at 6:15am despite the darkness). At the start of this scan,
both Ospreys were on the HC power tower, but the one that was on the top
of the tower soon flew to the nest platform, where it remained for the
rest of this timeframe.

Saw over 100 MEW GULLS earlier today, but only 43 remained for the
"official" count.

Birds seen during this scan include the following:
Canada Goose (3)
Mallard (5)
Bufflehead (6)
Common Merganser
Double-crested Cormorant (3)
Great Blue Heron
Osprey (2)
Mew Gull (43)
Glaucous-winged Gull (7)
Rock Pigeon (25)
Belted Kingfisher (2)
American Crow (5)
Black-capped Chickadee (2)
Bewick's Wren (2)
American Robin (2)
European Starling (79)
Song Sparrow (3)
Red-winged Blackbird (2)
House Finch
House Sparrow (4)

Year-to-date species count: 33

May all your birds be identified,
