A second winter LESSER BLACK-BACKED GULL was at Sun Lakes SP southwest of
Coulee City, Grant Co WA on 2 Apr according to Doug Schonewald. Matthew
Moskwik saw the bird again on 3 Apr. Sun Lakes is on the east shore of Park
Lake off of WA 17. WA DeLorme 85, D-5.

The CAPE MAY WARBLER is persisting in Spokane, WA. Stefan Schlick saw it on
2 Apr. The owners have strict visitation protocols. For specifics, contact

A SNOWY OWL was seen 2 Apr by Stefan Schlick along WA 28 at milepost 114.3
southwest of Davenport, Lincoln Co WA.

About 100 TRI-COLORED BLACKBIRDS were seen at the Para Ponds northwest of
Othello, Co WA on 2 Apr Stefan Schlick. On 2 Apr Bob Flores reports CACKLING
GEESE nearby at McCain's Ponds, just south of the potato storage sheds south
of McManoman Road and east of Para Ponds. From Othello go north on Broadway
(west end of town extending north from WA 24) past the processing and
storage facilities. When the road crosses the RR tracks it becomes McManamon
Road. Continue across the canal and down the hill past the two potato sheds.
The Para Ponds are just beyond on both sides of the road. WA DeLorme 53,

EURASIAN WIGEONS are still being seen in good numbers across the region, but
the largest gathering was 5 birds at Philleo Lake, west of Spangle, Spokane
Co WA, on 30 Mar and reported by Gina Sheridan. Head west from US 195 on
Jennings Road about 2 miles and bear left onto Philleo Lake Road. WA DeLorme
73, A-5.

On 30 Mar, in extreme northwestern Whitman Co WA, Gina Sheridan reports 2
TRUMPETER SWANS on Crooked Knee Lake and the persisting pair of EURASIAN
WIGEONS on Sheep Lake. Both lakes are in extreme northwestern Whitman Co WA
along WA 23. Sheep Lake is about a mile south of the Lincoln Co line and
Crooked Knee another mile further south. WA DeLorme 72, C-1.

Charles Swift reports 3 RED-BREASTED MERGANSERS at Heyburn SP 6 miles east
of Plummer, Benewah Co ID on 2 Apr. The birds were north of the bridge at
Heyburn.
