Some odd timing of bird appearances in my yard this
spring.
I had almost no Pine Siskin in the yard over the
winter. Until March 6, and from then till now I've
had a constant buzz coming from the trees, and at
least 50 Siskins in the yard the whole time.

I had Varied Thrush in the yard all winter, until
March 14, when they all disappeared. Until 2 days
ago, when one re-appeared, and he has been here 2 days
in a row.

My first yard Fox Sparrow was single last winter.
This winter I had 4-5 around all winter, and 2 are
still making the rounds, and I have hopes they will
stay over the summer.

Warblers are an irregular occurance here in my yard,
but this morning I saw a Yellow-throated Warbler
bathing in the waterfall. Then 10 minutes later I saw
a female Townsend's Warbler at the same spot in the
waterfall. These were the first Warblers in the yard
since last fall.

Other wanderers, one occurance each : Feb 27 Red
Crossbill; March 19 Purple Finch

Band-tailed Pigeon and Pileated Woodpecker visit about
once a month.

Now I'm just waiting for more wandering migrants as
spring migration starts up ...
