After receiving a phone call from Jim Acton informing
me that he had just seen some White-fronted Geese in
Spokane County, I drove down to the waterfowl hot
spot, Philleo Lake (west of Spangle). At the extreme
southwestern end of the lake, I saw the same flock
of six GREATER WHITE-FRONTED GEESE that Jim had seen.
The
White-fronted Goose just happened to be my 220th
Spokane County lifer.

Although I didn't have much time to bird, I did note 2
male EURASIAN WIGEONS were near the White-fronted
Geese, an OSPREY on it's traditional platform nest,
and scattered Tundra Swans.
