The next issue of Washington Birds will have a paper on just this subject.

Of 8893 juncos viewed between 31 Aug and 1 May in the north Puget Trough (at
locations where Oregon Junco doesn't breed), 40 were Slate-coloreds and 11
were of the race cismontanus, which is variably considered part of Slate-colored
or a hybrid swarm between SC and OR. Since they look almost exactly
intermediate, I tend to side with the latter opinion. Anyway, those were my findings.
