Hello All,
Today started out cloudy and cold as we joined Paul Bannick for a day of
bird photography. Birds of note seen today are................
Barn Owls......................5 birds in cutbank burrows along Frog Hollow
and Last Chance Rds..Saw two chicks.
Great Horned Owls.........2 ad. and three chicks on nest.
TURKEY VULTURE.....1 ad. over Coppei Creek, where rare.
NORTHERN SHRIKE....1 ad. on Minnick Hill above Coppei Creek. Very Late!
BOHEMIAN WAXWING.....75+ along Mill Creek near Eastgate Lyons Park, Walla
Walla. Well folks this is it, our record late date for Walla Walla Co.!
Red-naped Sapsuckers............4 birds along Jasper Mt.Rd.. First of the
year for us.
Bank Swallows.........................15 birds over Mill Creek behind
K-Mart. First of the year!
We had a great day and good company with some outstanding birds.
