Hello Tweeters,

My wife and I were recently in Argentina birding in a number of areas.
We spent 5 days in the Iguazu Falls region one day hiring a guide. Our
guide is currently a park range but also runs his own private guide
service. He has field recorded hundreds of species over a 10 year period
and used the recordings to attract birds with good success while we were
out with him. My question is what is the general feeling in the birding
community about the use of recordings? He used pygmy-owl recordings to
"stir things up" and we just weren't sure how we felt about it. Any
thoughts?

Thanks.
