Saturday, April 2, 5:09 PM. This is Doug Shonewald. We saw, about 2 o'clock
this afternoon a LESSER BLACK-BACKED GULL at Sun Lakes State Park. We're on
a WOS Trip here. It looks like a second year bird. That's it.

Sunday, April 3, 4:59 PM. Hi. This is Steven Mlodinow. Today, Bill Tweit,
Bruce LaBar and myself birded the Vancouver/Ridgefield Area. We had a PALM
WARBLER in breeding plumage just across the street from Vancouver Lake Park
where the Black Phoebe was. We had a LOGGERHEAD SHRIKE visible from the
parking lot at Post Office Lake between the lake and the parking lot in the
field and just down the road from Vancouver Lake Park in a flock of mainly
CACKLING GEESE but also a number of Taverner/Lesser types we had an apparent
BLUE x CACKLING GOOSE hybrid. A very (drab?) goose with a dark body like a
Blue Goose, white on the head but not properly distributed for a Blue Goose
really and the bill was kind of intermediate for size(?). That's about it.

Thursday, April 7, 6:37 AM. Hi, this is Tom Aversa reporting on a trip from
yesterday, April 6th, down to the coast in Grays Harbor County. Highlights
were: 2 SAY'S PHOEBES. One was at Aberdeen at the (Bishop Salk(?) Field
Complex) sort of near the Tree Swallow boxes on the left side as you drive
in and another SAY'S PHOEBE was on the Brady Loop Road near the fishing
access down near the guinea fowl house kind of on the south end of the loop.
Also and adult GOLDEN EAGLE on the Brady Loop Road, a couple of SANDHILL
CRANES and two immature GLAUCOUS GULLS. Thanks.

Friday, April 8, 7:03 PM. Hi, this is Kathy Andrich and I wanted to report
that I just saw the BAIKAL TEAL. It was on 277th in Kent west of the West
Side Highway parking near the old guard rail and looking north. That's it.

Saturday, April 9, 5:22 PM. This is Rachel Lawson, Birdbox System
Administrator. I have a report from Betty Jones and Murray Hanson that the
BAIKAL TEAL was seen today at around 4:30 at the same location as described
in the previous messages at 277th and West Valley Highway in the Kent
Valley. That's it. Good birding!

Sunday April 10, 2:03 PM. This is Rolan Nelson from Fircrest reporting on
Sunday afternoon. We did see the BAIKAL TEAL this afternoon. Instead of at
the normal location it was a little further west up the hill right near the
40 mile an hour speed sign. You look down into the valley toward the pond
that's over the top of a brown roofed house. That was between 1 & 1:30 PM
this afternoon. That's it. Good birding.
