This afternoon, I got a phone call from Carol Boyer who lives off the Monte-Brady Rd.. Her backyard has a great view of the interior of Brady Loop between Foster Rd. and the west side of Brady Loop Rd.. Anyways, she called because she had spotted 27 Sandhill Cranes out in the fields out in the fields behind her place. So the family and I went out to the Boyer's place and viewed the cranes. As we were getting ready to leave, I caught the flash of a bird with white wing patches flying to one of the bird feeders. Amidst, the Red-winged Blackbirds was an adult male Yellow-headed Blackbird! What a bird! A life bird for the state and county for me!
