I've seen many feral cats in the area of the Green River in both Kent and
Tukwila. By the Riverbend golf course, across from the eagle's nest there
are lots of feral cats in the blackberry bushes which are also visited by
domestic cats from the nearby apartment complex. I never saw even one feral
cat before those apartments were built. This is also excellent small bird
habitat.

There is also a large population of feral cats on the edge of the Costco
Tukwila parking lot, adjacent to that really nice wetland area. Someone has
provided about five dog houses (cat houses?) for them and stops by and puts
out cat food two or three times a week. This is also in prime birding
habitat.

There was once a now banned cat thread on this list so will not comment on
the situation.

numbers of feral cats, is making it open season on cats without collars.
