Hi Tweeters,
My vote would be a Rhinoceros Auklet. We took a trip up to Protection Island on the Viking Star last spring and saw 6 pair of Tufted Puffins. We were told at the time that there are only about 8 nesting pair there and in Washington State. I would think it is possible that a pair would come down to Deception Pass, but I do not know how likely that is?
