Hello Tweets,

This morning we were entertained by our first Pacific-slope Flycatcher of the season in our Fircrest backyard! It was a rewarding sighting for us since we have yet to see any reports of this species on Tweeters,etc. It doesn't seem an especially early date since we recall sightings recorded in early April. We obtained a few photos of the bird and heard it calling a few times before it ascended into thicker cover in another nearby yard and is probably not likely to stay around. This was our 2nd personal yard record of this species for us! Anyhow, migration is here and maybe more reports will follow!
